From the 16th to the18th of next November Decathlon will hold its second Hackathlon. The principle: 48 hours of creativity and innovation to reinvent the way we play sport.
The goal of this second edition of the Hackathlon is to gather together in the same location anyone looking to bring their ideas to life, whether they are Decathlon employees, students or startupers. From the 16th to the 18th of next November, they will all meet on the Decathlon Campus in Villeneuve d’Ascq to take up the challenge. Their specific goal? To reinvent the way we play sport.
Developing new projects
Organised into teams, the participants will have less than 48 hours to put their skills together (in graphic design, development, project management) and present a project to a panel of judges. Experts including Decathlon prototypers will be in attendance over the two days to help bring the participants’ ideas to life.
“The aim is to create and develop projects in a short space of time, and above all to bring them to life”, explained Axelle who works at Alive, the space within Decathlon dedicated to innovation. “Of the ten projects presented at the last Hackathlon, seven are still being carried out today”.
